What is Emotional Intelligence Profile?
The JCA Emotional Intelligence Profile (EIP) is a scientifically
validated and industry recognised questionnaire, designed to measure
Emotional Intelligence. Developed specifically with the workplace in
mind, the EIP measures our Emotional Intelligence strengths and
development areas, and provides a clear development pathway. The EIP
provides us with new insights and approaches on how to fulfil our
potential, work with emotions effectively, and achieve significant
and sustainable change.
The EIP is underpinned by the latest thinking in neuroscience. It
offers a transformational development framework that is used to
structure coaching and leadership development interventions aimed at
enhancing performance, resilience and engagement.
What are the benefits of using the EIP?
• Provides an accurate diagnostic of EI strengths and development
areas, and offers a clear development pathway.
• Quickly gets to the root of what’s blocking potential.
• Acts as a catalyst for personal development.
• Rapidly improves individual performance.
• Strengthens resilience and engagement.
• Helps individuals build better relationships by improving trust,
collaboration and conflict-handling.
• Is a transformational coaching tool that increases emotional
self-awareness, empathy and motivation.
• Creates deeper, long-lasting change by raising self-esteem and
building positive underlying attitudes.
• Helps develop leadership qualities such as authenticity,
inspiration and realistic optimism.
Emotional Intelligence 360
Receiving feedback from others on our levels of Emotional
Intelligence can provide useful insight and additional depth in
understanding our Emotional Intelligence. Comparing self-perceptions
with the perceptions of others can be an incredibly powerful way of
identifying strengths and development needs and often provides a
compelling motivation to change.
The EIP has a companion 360 degree feedback tool, allowing
individuals to invite evaluations from a range of raters:
line-manager; peers, direct reports, and other stakeholders, such as
customers. By inviting observations on their behaviour from the
people they interact with, an individual can achieve a greater
insight into how others experience their Emotional Intelligence at
work.
The EIP 360 report comprehensively and clearly shows how
self-ratings compare to the perceptions of others. Individual
strengths, development areas, hidden strengths and blind spots are
clearly presented, as well as detailed analysis at the individual
item-level.
How does the Emotional Intelligence Profile work?
The EIP questionnaire takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
Once completed there are a number of development report options to
choose from:
Executive Report
For senior leaders, the Executive Report provides a comprehensive
profile comprising an in-depth examination of the 16 dimensions of
Emotional Intelligence. The report further expands those dimensions
which most affect the attitudes and behaviours of the leader. Key
development points for the executive are also included.
Development Summary Report
Ideal for graduates or for those in the early stages of their
personal development journey, the Development Summary provides
focused and digestible feedback well-suited to shorter
interventions. The Development Summary identifies key strengths and
development areas set against the JCA Emotional Intelligence
framework.
Narrative Report
The Narrative Report is ideal for managers or individuals looking
for moredepth after completing the Development Summary. The
Narrative Report provides a detailed description of each of the 16
dimensions of Emotional Intelligence. In addition, development
points specific to the individual’s profile are provided. This
report often forms the cornerstone of our leadership development
programmes, helping individuals develop the personal leadership
qualities required in a demanding, fast-paced and changing
workplace.
Comparison Report
When the EIP is used at the beginning and end of a development
programme, the Comparison Report can be used to chart where the
individual has made progress and is working more effectively. An
ideal and simple way to track personal development, this report
provides clear comparison information against each of the 16 EIP
scales.
